With A Light Load You Can Expect 82-85 Mph, Mid To High 70's With A Heavy Load..

Way back, Hotboat tested 21 Cougars with a 225 Promax, a 2.5, and a 300. I think it was John Tiger.
The 225 just got to 90. The 21 Cougar is similar to the 21 Eliminator.

not sure about the 225 but randy corson(sp) and his liberator 21's run right around 100-110 with 300... so id assume somewhere around 85-90

My 21 Liberator had a 225 EFI when I bought it from Randy. It ran 82-83 with one person and 10 gallons of fuel. That was with the Fleetmaster 3 inches below the pad using a Hoss Triton 30. When I added a Titus Cone/LWP and jacked the motor up the speed went to 86 MPH with a 32 cleaver. The Lower unit was a 1.75 ratio and the rpms were pegged at 5800 on the limiter.
