    Pulsare 2400 or Superboat 24ft

Can you help me make a choice?

I like to switch from inboard to outboard, due fuel efficiency reasons.
Those gas prices are sky high at the moment.
We pay more than 10$ per gallon her in Holland.

At the moment I have a Stingray 220SX 350Mag ProCharged.
    Nice boat, nothing wrong with.

Last weekend I went boating on a big river with my friends new 288 Sunsation.
At that time I realized I need a bigger boat.
But I also need to trailer the boat, so 24 ft is max.

Can you help me make my choice?
We have a pretty big lake, but I also like "wave-hopping" on a crowed big river (pretty rough+ choppy).
    I like to choose between a 24ft Checkmate Pulsare or a 24ft Superboat, both with a 300XS.

    Thanks,
    Wiebe

    .

you will be happy with either boat

the checkmate is better than you think as far as "rough water durability"

i had a mid 90's checkmate that took a beating and kept on ticking , lots of ocean runs and the thing seemed unbreakable

i am biased to the superboat but either would be a great choice...if you are looking new checkmate has done some nice things but the superboat is a timeless tried and true design that in my opinion works extremely well...

There is nothing wrong with either boat, for pure rough water go fast boating the superboat will be a better boat IMO. Also check out Progression's 24'ers.

Mine and a few others are for sale in the forums here.

It really comes down to what you want. Superboat will probably ride a bit smoother, be slightly faster. Checkmate probably has a little more cockpit room.

    Thanks guys.

I like those Checkmates but it seems to me they are too pretty/elegant for rough water.
My first choice would be a 24ft Velocity, but....they do not make them.
A 24ft Progression would be nice too, a small windshield included.
All boats runs fine on a steady day.
But I want to drive on those heavy traffic rivers as well, rough and a heavy steam.
    A new 24ft Checkmate + 300XS will cost about 50K.
People ask 40K for a 6 year old other brand, so....I`m not sure yet.

I think that 50K Checkmate is the best investment, but who knows I find a nice priced second hand Progression or Sboat!

All the way in The Netherlands.
We have a plenty of water overhere .
Most of the time on a big mean lake.
The other times on a busy heavy traffic river, like The Delaware near Phily.
Bought all my boats(4) in the USA!
So I can not buy any boat I like, otherwise it would be hard to sell it here again.
People are really cheap overhere .

I have very limited seat time in my 24 superboat, but have been really happy with handling in 2-3 foot chop. Was out bouncing around off the fire island ferry boat wakes this past weekend with the wife and even she was making comments about how easily we blew through them.
