are there model yrs of OptiMaxs' to stay away from?
are there model yrs of OptiMaxs' to stay away from? or are they all the same. I was looking at buying a 1999 225, thanks

Sorry but what I've read here and on Bass Boat Central the 2003 and newer are the better engines. I don't know if they offered upgrades to fix the earlier engines but if they did and the one you're looking at has them then it might be deal. Hopefully someone that really knows will chime in on this.

99,00-02-were the years to stay away from ,there was a class action lawsuit concerning these years ,so if you have one of these year motors mercury doesnt have any pitty on you customer service wise !!! TUNNELT
