Adaptor Kit BP/SSM
Hi!
Please can anyone help me with some parts for my BP´s. I am new at this forum and I understand that this is the right place for a Mercury freak. Is it possible to find the adaptor kit for BP/SSM? The old partnumber is A-57454A2 for the SSM gearhouse and A-61280A2 for the I-SSM gearhouse. I have a couple of BP´s and and I also have short shafted standard gearhouse and SSM gerahouse. I need to find these adaptorkits, I don´t want to run the engines with the original BP gearcase. Please let me now if anyone want to sell...
Best regards
JL

I've seen them pop on ebay from time to time....they are kind of rare. Looks like you have a nice collection going of old Merc's. What boat are you going to run your BP on ??

Ok I hopefully find this parts on Ebay. I am building a replica of a boat from Finland, Flying Flipper! That was a graet offshorecat from the 60`s. Going to use two Merc 1000BP on this boat. I will post some pictures as soon as possible from this project.
I am running one of my BP`s on a V-bottom boat (Joker Boss) 18 feet long.
Do you want more garage pictures

YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TELL HER THAT YOU ARE WORKING ON THEM FOR OTHER PEOPLE AND THEY ARE NOT YOURS. THEN SHE WON'T BE MAD!

Do anyone now where to find gearcase tools and specifikations for BP & SSM?
I am very grateful for tips where to buy used parts for Mercury in US.

I think you will find it easier to fabricate your own tools as needed for these jobs; it is about the same skill level as the work itself.
Specs ... I think they can be found in Sweden ... if you know who to ask
