Yep.... Have seen it myself. #1 at Blarneys. If you want proof, look it up....it's there! If that is a fishin' motor, I would like to see what their race motors would look like Maybe someday........

The 2.5 is a great high performance motor, but because of the EPA in their infinite wisdom, manufacturers have to go a different direction. BRP has stepped up to the plate. I would love to see some head to head comparisons on performance and endurance. Hopefully, someone who could put something together is watching
I think the boys down under all ready have ! Why do you think BRP is shipping those 250HO half way 'round the world ? Sounds like "good competition" to me!

I just wish we could get some of the action on the telly on this side of the equator !

No problem at all....I posted that challenge because on a 201, a Rude will be faster. I've driven them with 225HO's, 225ProXS's, 250ProXS's, 250XS's, and 250HPDI's. Something about the Merc gearcases just doesn't jive on these hulls. Rudes and Yams are always faster due to gearcase design. But on a Triton, the Merc will be faster. BassCats will run almost identical numbers with any of the motors.

Hey guys I live here in Aussie land. WE are not that much of a backwater ya know. We all add quite a bit of info to the S&F pot. But I gotta admit we need to see a lot more Aussie boating action on the TV over here as well.

I have to say that is a stupid thing to say, When one goes to an Evinrude dealer to just get spring service on their Evinrude, and the dealer has a shop full of Merc's all needing major repairs lol. I will stick with my Rude has been a great Motor.
