1975 Avenger by Cee Bee Manufacturing Co
I have a 17' Avenger built by Cee Bee out of California. This is a cool old boat and worthy of my restoration. I have researched as much as I can to find about the history and know about the split from Powercat. I've looked @ the link from powercat about the '76 advertisment and don't see my boat there. Some of them are close to mine, but none of them have an I/O set-up. Mine came with a 140 merc. 4 cylinder I/O with a #1 sterndrive. I guess I would like to know if it came from the factory that way.
This power combination leaves alot to be desired, and I am currently replacing a rotten floor and want to install a small block chevy and an alpha 1 gen 1 in the transom........Any thoughts out there?
I've built alot of toys for "land use", but this is my first boat.
Thanks, Ken.......Northcoast Ohio.
