I've known Phil for all of my life, 40+ years. You couldn't have asked for a better friend than Phil. He was more like a member of the family than a friend. As a previous poster had mentioned, Phil always had a love for going fast, I too remember the little Cox engine boat that he had as a kid and was able to make faster than any boat I had ever seen. He also had a Mini Bike as a kid that he tweaked to go at warp speed.
Phil was a special person, and I can see from the posts before mine that it looked like he ran his boat with a great bunch of people.
To the guys who jumped in to help Phil, thank you for your effort. You should be proud of what you did to help save him.
God Speed Phil, thank you for being in our lives.

Hey Rossi where did this pic come from??? I think it's me and Phil up in Sunapee last fall or 2 ago...
Fla sissy think it's time to put them away when the temp gets to 60 if I remeber this is late Oct
The other thing I noticed is in most of the pics he's looking back.....that was Phil always looking back to check on the other guy!!

Terrible news. Just got in from a small run here in Illinois and it sure makes you think about the friends and family we spend our time with. Truly some of the best friends you will ever have are your boating aquaintances. We run hard together and it is a sad reminder when things go bad. Rest in peace, brother.
