    My New Motion!

    Hello All-

I haven't posted much here so I thought I would say hi and post a few pictures on my new to me motion. It's a 2002 with 300's. I bought the boat in June and have spent way too much money on Graphics, Saftey Equipment, and other things for the boat. Hope to see some of you out on the water!

    Don

    Thanks-

I just made them this last weekend. They came out ready nice. The rear passnegers thought they were a huge inprovement for ride quality.

Thanks Everyone for the comments. I came from a 38' formula fastech and am just amazed how much fun this boat is to drive.

Yeah it handles great. It actually handles the rough better than my 38 did.

I see you under a different name on OSO. My question is how much does the total rig wiegh and how does the Titan pull it. I just got a 2007 Titan and it pulls my boat(about 5000 lbs all in) pretty easily, but next year I'm looking to pull 8500-9000. Thanks.

Yeah I am under DGDUCK13 on OSO, I will be changing it soon. There are reasons for the different name, in the next couple months it will make more sense........
As for my truck I just love it. I believe the boat/trailer/Gear and Fuel I am around 6500lbs. The truck pulls it great. I have firestone airbags in the rear with the onboard compressor. I put about 35psi in the bags when I pull the boat. I believe this truck pulls better than my 3/4 dodge with the V10. If you had short trips with a 10K boat I wouldn't even think twice about pulling it with a titan. If you are going on long trips then I would look for a 1 ton.

    Hope this helps
    Don

Thanks man. I make about 3 or 4 round trip 400 mile trips a year. I would think the titan wont have a problem with an 8500 lb. boat. I was just wondering if the acceleration sucks or if the trailer drags the back end around. Those airbags are something to look into...hmmm...
