The 150HO etec G1 is 418 lbs. Still piggy, but I would probably do it if I were really motivated. The G1 150HO is more or less the same as the non-HO 200. so it will be a strong motor for sure. keep the posts coming...

Other motor option would be a mercury pro xs 150-175 cant figure out what model to look at. i have always ha evinrude and like the product but allot of the performance boats have the mercury's what do you prefer? people say the water pumps and impellers need to be replaced more frequently on those models.

I'd use a ProXS Merc in a second, too. And bought new anyway, I think they are a fair bit cheaper than a new ETEC. They're a little more complex, with an air pump that's prone to failure, but it's not a catastrophic failure that destroys the motor. And a lot of people have them, so there is plenty of advice available out there how to get the most out of it. If money matters, Merc ProXS might be the way to go.

i have a 1984 baja sport 160 with a 115 merc tower of power with a trailer i would sell i want it gone. $800.00 blue and silver metallic flake, new floor, new blue carpet, does not have a back seat though. Motor has good compression but steering is really tight on it. want it gone. trailer has new led lights on it and pole guides with covers.

This is a beauty old Baja Needs just a tiny bit of TLC. New windshield and a little buff and this thing would be absolutely mint.

I'd do it all white with thin stripes to match interior. Blown LS on an XR

Don't get me wrong. I like Baja's. But back in the dark ages I had a Formula F206 that'd smoke just about anything in it's class. Specially if'n the water was choppy
