I had to rebuild my wood base, and made it the same way. Bottom flips forward (hinged at front) and then you can pop the seatback out.
I picked up a few yards of marine vinyl to sew up some new covers this winter. I'm at a loss about what to do with the fronts. I think I might just make up some more bucket-y style and try my hand at making my own coverings.

^^^Looks good. I wouldn't even be trying to run in those water conditions. Maybe putting along at about 30 mph getting the crap beat out of me. White caps and the 18' don't get along.

I still have mine. Yours looks to be in pretty good shape. Gel is better than mine shows.

I repaired my red and silver Gelcoat on deck and top rear sections by wet sanding down clearcoat until smooth, taped off covering silver and white leaving just light and dark red. Sprayed adhesion promoter then tinted the reds with nightshades red headlight spray, then un taped silver, sprayed adhension promoter over silver and reds then taped around deck area and rear top sections leaving 1/8 white showing , then cleared with Urethane.

It turned out great. The deck of mine is stained from a leaking storage shed years ago. By the time we realized it was leaking it was too late.

Took my 184 SS (THUMPER) and my 220 Sport along with my brothers 220 to Lake Norris for the week of the 4th. Lots of compliments on the 184.

Always loved the 220 Sport. Had a 210 Sun Sport for 7 years. Great boat for the family. Mid 60's with a 350 magnum with thru hulls. Red with grey and black accents.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
