Thanks Little Jon!
My two Hydrostreams. The top one is a 1979 Viking (prior to haveing to rename it V-king) with crossflow power. Boat is original other than reclear. The bottom is my 1978 Vandal with my wife driving at the Koshkonong speed runs a few years back (photo courtesy of John Dorn). My father purchased this boat new in January 1978. I purchased it from him when I was 16 and have owned it for the last 17 years. Current power is the original 1978 85hp Johnson. The motor was rebuilt 17 years ago after I bought the boat. This spring she ran 60 gps with the motor jacked way up and DAH 23 silver streak!
Not bad considering the age and the fact that it has had at least a thousand hours on it since then. Crossflows seem to last forever.Last edited by FlowMaxx; 09-02-2007 at 12:05 PM.

Thanks, guys, yep little Jon, I got the BP done and cooling ok, now just ironing out the bugs, just dont have the time to do it.
Greg, I took that pic in our workshop when we hired a scissor lift to service the lights and door motor. While I was up at full height, probably about 50 feet, some of the guys took the key out of the control pannel below and left me up there for quite some time ba*****s Anyway thats when I noticed the boat looked realy cool from straight above, so I brought the camera in the next day and snapped a few while no one was around toturn the machine off again
I think the boat looks WAY bigger from above than from the side and you never realy see the full effect of the shape of the wings and nose, it looks awsome. It's my baby
Upstream, that vandal looks like it's haulin', sweet!
Alan

The vandal is a great boat and very stable. It is extremely sensitive to trim. Very fun to drive. Unlike the Viking, it requires no positive trim to get it up on the pad. Favorite props: 23 silver streak, 27 omc solid hub cleaver. Viking: 27 and 29 DAH SRX's
