how to rev past 6200?
So what will it take to make my 2005 300x rev past 6200, it stops there with a 24" prop or my 31" lab.

if it only turns a 24 the same rpm as a 31 something isnt right.

I have the same problem. I am on my way to a rally and there is supposed to be a Mercury tech there so hopefully I can find out what is going on. I was told to unplug my MAP sensor and try running it but that wasn't the fix for it. Although it did feel like it got a little more power but still no more rpms. Keep in touch let me know if you find something out.
Thanks,
Craig

mine appears stuck at about 6400-6500 rpm's, I have hit 6700 only once and have not been able to repeat.
I do only have 15 hrs on the pcm which did force me to "break in" the engine again when it was replace....do I have to wait a few more hours?
