    first boat.

Im 18 years old and some freinds and I are considering buying a boat to mess around with on weekends. There is a 20foot ski boat with a 1982 mercury blackmax 200 on it for sale for 3500 close by. First of all is this a good deal? It looks to be in good shape. Second of all how much gas would somthing like this use in a typical day of cruising, wakboarding, tubing, fishing ect. And How much worse is a jet boat with a big block on it? Thanks.

Figure about 20 gal of fuel for a day on the outboard and probably 50 gal a day on a jet.
What is the brand of boat? Know anyone who is actually knowledgeable of boats?

its says its a miller custom ski boat. I've never heard of it. I know a lot of people with big 30+ foot boats with insane amounts of power in havasu, but needless to say those are little out of our price range. I know how to turn a wrench. I put a smallblock chevy into my 240z when i was 16.
