Yes ther iz....I juss rebuilt one I have for my old bote...Altho, after rebuild'in the helm, I found that my problem wuz in the ram...
My steer'in wouldn't hold solid, when WOT, I had to constantly turn the wheel to go in a straight line...Kum to find out tha O-ring in the ram wuz bad....Sea Star didn't offer just the O-ring, so I went to the local hydrolik shop, and got one(wuz a milimeter or 2 bigger)...installed it, and back on tha water!!!!.....
Hydroliks ain't rocket science, mainly springs, O-rings, and sum teflon rings, and fluid...and them o-rings are made to handle any kinna fluid U shove in it!!!....Dextron III haz only been in my system for 4 yeerz, and I wuz told mysea star wuz made for certian type oil, and would not work with anythang else!!!!.....
Oh, they iz sum gaskets U need to re-build the helm that kum's in tha kit, so juss replace'in tha o-rings ain't enuff for tha helm!!!....And if your ram is leek'in at the ends, U will have to buy the ends....I juss ain't figgered out how to change the seels yet!!!

Did you have fun with that helm??. If anything like the ones on these fork lifts, most people do more harm than good when they take them apart, they are one mother bear if you've never had one appart. Ain't no fun even after having several apart.
I would definetly do the cylinder before going into the helm.
I need to replace the seals on my cylinder rod ends, been just adding fluid and bleeding them for over a year because I've been too cheap to buy that $100 kit. I haven't had the ends off, but can probably get the seals. Do they look like something you can pop out or are they installed and a bushing pressing in behind them so there is no getting them out.Keith Jones

We've had two boats in the shop in the past that were doing the same thing, had to constantly turn to the left. In both cases, the helm was the problem.

i know what you can do. you can start an "IOU an ass kickin" list. start it by puttin me at the top of it. then you can drag that around with you too. the chances of you kickin my ass are just as bad/worse then you collecting any money supposedly owed to you. and in case you are wondering, i am laughing at you not with you.
