How much prop clearance?
I got a small hub power tech tro4 on a 200 rude. The prop washer is to thick and the front lip of the prop does not go into the gearcase at all. In fact, there is about 1/8" gap that you can see all the way to the other side. Will this cause performance problems? Should I get one of those vortex rings or just a thinner thrust washer?

washer
Are you sure you have the correct washer? The newer prop shafts are thicker at the washer flange and if you use an older thrust washer it won't slide all the way on the shaft.

is the prop splined for an OMC? if it's a merc spline they fit the splines but are shorter and it won't go all the way down to the hub.

It is splined for OMC. Can any one tell me if this will hinder performance?

I know there is a performance increase in spacing a chopper type prop as far back as possible on the prop shaft. I'm not sure what kind of difference it would make with a thru hub. I would "assume" the same would be true.
