CHRYSLER had the small portables going in 62/63 and took over the fours in 65/66 . They increase displacement first thing to 96ci and the venerable 105 was born.

I almost feel bad about talking CHRYSLER on a Merc thread. Yours?

Bernie! Be it 650X, 650 XS, 850 XS, or the Top? 1500 XS! Had a 13 foot Ally, raced with a 700 Merc against the them Rude "Stingers", 75hp. Now if had a 850 XS, see ya later! Friend mine bought a new Switzer SS17 in 74. Blue Strip cowl XS1500. I bought it in 76. Then had the Red stripe XS wrap decals. As the boat was Red..NEEDED!

Fun to beat and "hose down the the squirt boats"..(pay back asshole..TOLD YA ITS WEAK)!

Nice package you put together Bernie. Had one with a J motor in the seventies. Hung "in the pocket" surprisingly well.

This boat was owned by the Kiekhaefer Corp, and Fred used it and has verifyed that to me. JD Emerson at Lake X made the tabs - maybe forerunners of the k-planes?
