Hello. I too am the owner of a JRS Kona except that mine is a 1972. No pun intended but the two of us are in the same "boat" because when I purchased my restoration project the complete interior was missing. I have been trying to find factory or owner pictures of this model for over 2 years. I will keep trying and I will let you know if I find anything. If you get the chance I would love to see some pictures of your boat. Thanks and take care. My email address is jkula19@yahoo.com. Thanks again.

My first boat was a 1973 Kona outboard and it had differant interior than a jet. Two forward facing buckets and two long couches going down each side and had limited storage under the two rear cushions. The seat frame was all one piece from front to back. It was a fun boat. It had an electric shift 100hp evinrude on it when i bought it and after two years at 45mph i tradded it in on a new 1980 175 Mariner. It was a great ski boat but wouldn`t run with the HydroStreams at the races so i sold it.

    73 kona interior - 17 foot outboard

I think this is the original style. Boats been in the family for over 25 years. I believe the wood the seats are built on is the original.

My '72 17' Kona outboard had a flat pad that started a few feet in front of the transom. Probably 6-8" in width, with vertical sides of about 3/4".
