    Mercury = Lemon

    Don't Buy A Mercury!!!
    Unless You Want To Spend More Time Dragging Your Boat To The Dealer Than To The Water, Don't Buy A Mercury. You May Ignore This Message. You May Listen To Someone Who Hasn't Had Their Mercury Long Enough To Know. If You Buy A Mecury, Some Day Soon Someone With A Japanese Motor Will Be Towing You To Shore And You Can Think Back And Say "i Wish I Had Listened To That Guy." Mercury=lemon.

    buy a Mercury because they are good.they are some of the best running motors out there,buy a mercury or end up in last place or being towed home.I have towed every outboard brand you can think of in,but never a Mercury.I don't even think i have ever even heard of a mercury breaking down?Those yamahahas and E-fichts were the quietest of them all as i towed them in.Mercury's are good,mmmmmmmmmmmmmkay?
    I'm currently boatless

    I have a 2005 Merc 60 on my 1957 restoration 14' lonestar. Only changed the gear case and engine oils. Never had any issues with it.
