Thumbs up 1963 Glasspar g3 in the water after 36 years

Here's a blast from the past. We put this little boat in the water on Friday for the first time since 1969. The boat runs great, the 1250 lights it on fire with a little nybral 22x13 2-blade Merc prop. For the whole restoration story, click on: http://groups.msn.com/bridgesboats/63g3restoration.msnw

p.s. Sorry these pics are grainy; I didn't use a digicam, plus the ridiculously small 100.0 KB max posting size doesn't help any.

Jeff, I just looked at your web site with your project, man that was a work of love.

    I know it's a eye catcher.

No money can replace that work.

    Very good job!

I was out in Portland, OR for a soccer tournament about a week ago and I saw one of those old G-3s sitting on a trailer in a marina on the Columbia River. No motor just boat and trailer. I don't know the name of the place but it is on Marine Drive near the airport.

Know the boat... the inner transom is toast and the guy who owns em wont sell.. tried alot to get him to cut it loose... My friend had one in a barn on his property that was worth saving but the code enforcement made him burn the barn as it was used as a meth lab prior to his living there, and I couldnt get the boat out in time.... woulda been a freebie to...

This was my first time in Portland. It looks like a great place for two of my favorite things, cycling and boating.

it is for one of those..... boating.... cycling... gets you run over by my truck.... they actually passed a law in Oregon saying that it is LEGAL to ride on the interstate highways that travel through the city limmits..... My commute got another 15min longer to work in a matter of 3 days due to cyclists riding along the shoulder of the freeway slowing down the traffic from about 45mph in the mornings to more like 15-20mph....
