I used to have a 25' Active Thunder. It did OK in the rough, but only did 67mph. That was when I did most of my boating on weekends. Now I am out there mainly during the week with the ski boat. I would like to go fast and play a little just in the boat.

Do the 21' Skaters turn good? A friend of mine used to have a seebold tunnel, and it turned on a dime. It turned hard enough to throw people out on more than one occasion. That was also 15 years ago. A little smarter now.

21 Skaters are made to go fast in a straight line in rough water, that's it. I was hoping to use my 21 Skater for skiing, but they will not turn fast at any speed. Tunnels can turn fast, but they do not work very well in rough water.

I bought a 24 Skater off Lake of the Ozarks. He said he wished it was a 28. We took the boat out on a weekday and it was rough as hell.

Still, Lake of the Ozarks is by far not the roughest lake in the US. Remember Lake Erie, Superior, Michigan, Huron, and Ontario.

The great lakes can get rougher from winds. I was told Lake O is the roughest because of boat traffic.
