    Climatemaster

Post #45, yep,, that's all it.

What you guys really need is to have someone video tape how your driving the boat, it will look different then ya think. Too high and ,,,well you know that one, too low and your stuck to the water,,,no speed and porpoise also.

Its a blast when its right, you"ll even be able to slide around a corner on the pad pointing straight at 100

Really running fast and flat, in 6 to 8 in" chop,,,its not uncommon to feel the back tapping in and out out the water.

Gotta have the tape,,,,it"ll be your best friend

    Nice pics.

The Performance Propellers is a semi cleaver 4 blade, the shape of a Yamaha drag. It doesn't feel like the right prop. I think I liked the cleaver better. I think I'll pick up a GPS speedo. Had the wife on board today so no more attempts to surpass 80.

Riot280 I love pic3! Riots look awesome coming at you and the water looks perfect for the boat you make them dance in that kind of water!

    Talking Thanks

It's really just something else the way it feels flying like that, I've got a 26 - 4 blade to play with also. can stand the boat almost straight up with it.

This is where i normally run the motor to the pad when she's flying.

Do you think I should put my motor up to the top notch? I believe it was there and the guy before me lowered it one notch.

Riot 280, looks like your are a good 1 and 1/2+n above the pad with the center of the bullet right? What prop are you running?

QUESTION: What is the safest prop on this boat?

Kevin is on the road for the week. I called him and said he runs the center of the bullet a 1.5 to 2" above the pad. He likes it a high as he can get it without losing water pressure. He is running a 14*30 spinelle cleaver to 8g 110mph on gps speedo (he got from Dan Weeden). Kevin says he would like to try a 14.25 or 14.5 by 32 cleaver. Good luck and he says becareful.

    Thanks,

Does raising the height increase the chance for blowout and hook? I felt a minor blowout feel yesterday and I didn't like it. Don't know how fast I was going, my GPS died. I do have a 14 1/2" diameter though.... I did see 8000 RPM briefly but I don't think I was doing over 100 which is what the prop calc comes to. Must have been alot of slip.

We really ought to start a new thread for this, I'm going to see if the administrator can do that and add all the stuff unrelated to Climatemaster's 1998 Riot for sale ad....

Hey, is it me, or is it not possible to access the center bilge pump in this boat? How are you supposed to service or replace it? Seems like the built the boat around it.....

    New thread

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. If we start a new thread in general discussion we may attract a few more Riot owners, as they may not all be shopping for a new 20" and under.

Too damn windy today, been 15 plus the last few days. Going to try my 26 Yammi drag copy tomorrow pending the weather. Want to check out the acceleration difference.
