reed question
Got my motor apart right now and thought it had steel reeds inside. When i pulled the reed plate though i found a black plastic type of reed instead. Are these boyseen reeds? How can i tell who made them? Can send a pic of the reed to your email if that will help. My pic are above the limit for posting on this site...

Boyesen reeds
If they are black, dual-stage plastic reeds, they are most likely made by Boyesen.
Shrink the picture and post it here. I am sure someone can tell.Markus' Performance Boating Links:

worked out a trade on some parts with another member. Rebuild looks simple other then getting them needle bearings in around where the piston and rod connect.
