    151.5 vs 143.4

Had motor problems in florida and boat wouldn't turn rpm's like it should . Turns out it was low voltage and motor was going full rich. The 151.5 was run with a totally different blade and Dewald built it from scratch. I needed more diameter to overcome the 20 percent slip with the 10 5/8's. The bigger blade was way under ten percent slip. Wally and many others can attest to me testing in coveralls and like twenty to thirty passes until we got the motor height right. The little prop would run 145 all day every day Without problems. Handling was the issue with the big prop. There is more potential in the big prop but I like breathing so once we broke one fifty we called it quits. This all started with what was to be a lake boat so thats why that boat was used and not a lightweight race boat. I've run in 137.5 with the back seat in. This boat was no fluke. Any well set up STV with a trued bottom and good power will run big numbers. Even a Euro set up right will run right at one thirty.

    Single and multi engine.
Plus the title says who currently OWNS the fastest outboard boat on S&F That may send us back to Brent and the STV.

With all that being said......I do not own this or any STV at the moment so I do not qualify for this. But am supposed to help set up A STV for top speed soon. Hope they start doing some more top end runs. Was a lot of fun for sure.

You guys all have fun trying to break those top end records - I'll just watch! I could gear my hydro to run 200mph in 1,320' if I wanted to get a time slip with that on it..........but HELL NO, you'll never see me do that! I'm not really happy running at our rule-limited 165mph in the 1,000' in my open hydro. I do it, because that's the only way we can run the ETs I'm after, but I'd love to be able to keep it under 150. You guys wanting to run big numbers in little open-cockpit tunnels are crazy. I'll be getting in a capsuled hydro soon, and selling my open hydro. And I'm already slowing my 160mph 30 Skater down by converting it to 400Rs - I've seen WAY too many guys killed in the last 15 years to continue thinking it's no big deal to run those numbers in an open cockpit boat. Mod VP mandated capsules before the class finally disappeared, why don't you guys put capsules in these STVs before going out and trying to run ridiculous speeds?

Mullins went almost 120 with a stock 300x on that boat. Now it's got twin 350+hp drag motors on it.

hate to see you do that to the 30, that was always a favorite of mine.

I'm really curious to see someone run one of these or even just see one in person.
