You are the one that regurgitated a 2 stroke with no intake valve, I just pointed out that the info/research is not new, I first learned about it from Jennings. You probably forgot about reading it there.
You probably can read it quicker than you think, no "muttling" because now you actually understand what you'd be reading ... and it might make some of what you know clearer or possibly easier to explain/convince others of your points.

The video's were just as humorous . I liked how the motorcycle fired off with a turn of the wheel , idled perfect , no fuel stand-off .. LOL Turn the camera to his face , let me find a flashlight .. look in here ... wait , carbon monoxide is killing me .. ok now that I had time ... look in here ... Yea , OK .. that was quite scientific in discovery .. I'm so happy that you and he are both so impressed ..
Fong , @ least your spoof had some fuel stand-off . ( too much rotor cut ATDC )
And really nice try , but lets follow the time stamp in the lower left corner ....
2:38 instead of having a light set up and just roll the motor over .. your going to take it apart for us ....>
2:40 while your doing your best to convince everyone to look at your right hand ... you lose credibility by lowering you left below your waist ...>
2:42 No need in liftin your left now , you already got cracked ...
Naturally , when you run your next outboard "eng" in front of me with no reeds ..
I'll be the first to admit I was wrong .....

Nope , on the global commercial site. Tillers too for the v4. Carbs and premix, even a kerosene series up to 40hp. All blowingdown , scavenging and pulsing to manufacturers design.

Dave ,
There is no reason to hate anyone . And I certainly don't hate you .
At the World Street Finals in O-town there is/was an ol black man who set up a "three card shuffle" game every year . I'd watch a few hands , skip the voluntary faints and movement's and concentrate on the involuntary ones . Drop my $20 on the table , pick my card and walk with $40 . If I happen to lose my $20 , I'd still walk . We both knew who each other was and each treated it like it was a $100 hand because that was it until next year . Not enough at stake to get mad about .
You posted a video . I could have smiled and walked away . I chose to drop my $20 on the table . No big deal either way ... It's just a game
Two Strokes :
The whole premise of their existence is simplicity of their design . Good power for their weight and when operated within their physical limitations ... rather reliable .
While there certainly is room for improvement , which will come about by dreamers and free thinkers .. most seem to go down the path of complexity , adding weight and making less power . Millions are spent to save on a few cents worth of fuel. The ends never seem to justify the means , and good idea's get squashed along with the bad .
Professor Laureate , speaks with common sense about how the farce and how it came about .
As far as the crankcase goes for the common man :
The inner crank cheeks dictate the width of the slot on the reed side . How long it is on each side comes about during the mock up stage .
The rod slot side has a little more leeway . Some like to funnel into the upper portion and use the floor as the outside wall of the port . Others like the funnel on the floor side .
I just go off the premise that it's difficult to bend a column of air and keep it uniform at the same time ...
For those with a little more fire and a little less patience .....
Same fire a little more humor .....
