Years ago I had a vulture with a bridgeport, ran 88mph. My hull was light and if I rember correctly I had 8" setback. Boat ran real good and the boat hanged with the bow high.

You didn't mention what year. but none the less. You might be looking at a transom also. If so go with Coosa board. My Vulture would run 92 with a hopped up 2.5 and with a modded 2.4 mid to high 80's. Vultures love alot of set back 10" or more. I set mine up with 12". The back to backs need to come out to achieve the real high speeds. Their caracteristic is they come out the hols a little slow but when set up properly they hang really well. Keep in mind the Vulture is not a race boat like the Vking. But is a pleasure to run and drive, and is stable at high speeds.
Check the pocket behind the pad and make sure there are two aluminum angles on each side. They were installed at the factory. They actually allow the hull to break loose from the vaccum. While you are at it go ahead a blue print ther bottom. They definately benefit from that.
You'll definately need some seat time to learn how to drive it once you start getting over the 70 hump. IMO invest in a sea star pro steering also.
Good Luck!!!

had vulture xt great boat roomy cockpit runs nice over chop stabil and turns well agree with setback front seats far forward so when you run two in front takes more to air out runs great with people in rear seats yes setback stock 200 get you in 80s fast stabil and reliable

Yea my 1st boat had to recore the hole boat too. Put a 2.4 BP on her when done cle with a cone chopper 2 prop nose high and tons of set back 10-12" watch the transom with all the set back up need tie bars. Ran mid 80s all day.
