A question about graphic design....

First I would like to thank all of you to scream and fly Cause every time I have questions always give me good advices! Thanks! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Now let me ask you a tip from a friend ... I made draws,I study at the Academy of Fine Arts and I'm graphic designer (www.jennyracingproject.wordpress.com), my dream is tocreate graphic design directly for a yard.
Is it possible? Which boat yard would, in your opinion? I live in Italy but I could send thedrafts and drawings to the yard via email. Is it possible or is it a pipe dream ? :(

To be honest, I made the designs by hand, I use the computer only for place colors. I have no real basis of a graphic designer, all I know I learned by myself. Perhaps it is also why it's hard to realize my dream.:(

I'm confused, Is this thread about designing graphics for boats or designing boats themselves:confused: Just asking because I do paint scheme or graphic renderings from time to time and would like to find a computer program to use instead of doing them by hand.

lol... that's what I was thinking when I saw post #11 and clicked on the link you posted for AFR. I only need a program that is 2d. I'd try it but the only computer I have is my work comp and I don't want to chance anything

I think Jen is in the same boat I am and it's difficult to find out what kind of programs are good to use because everyone that I've asked has been so tight lipped about it...:( Like it's a big damn secret, or maybe I'm just asking the wrong questions... idk...

I guess I won't actually know untill I dig in and try one of these for myself but I'm thinking some sort of sketch pad may be in my future... Thanks for the link!!!

on a side note, I wonder what kind of programs T.A.O.D. uses for their designs :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

A couple good drawing programs to start with are Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator both do vector and bitmaps...... neither are cheap.
