Does anybody know what this is worth?
Are you buying it, selling it, or just interested in value???? Need more information.
If it is in fact an UNDER 15' Allison they were intended for smaller engines than the inlines sixes................ like the 4 cyl Mercs and 3 cyl OMC's.
You can just give raceman that XS...;)
It is for sale in Nashville and I am considering buying it to run on the river next year. Any info would appreciated. All the add states is 14ft. center steering race boat. 150xs Mercury inline 6 cylinder. New internal wiring harness, new electric holley fuel pump, solid motor mounts jack plate, hot foot. Great running boat. Will run 75 mph.Moody trailer.Boat is red and black. has ride guide steering. He is asking 4500.00,Does that sound like A good price. Any ideas?
Thanks John

The best answer to your question in my opinion is, it depends on why you want it. If you want to buy it to play with and that kind of boat interests you, then I'd think it's a bargain (assuming the boat and motor are in decent condition) They're unbelievably fun toys and at WAY LESS than half what a top of the line Sea Doo costs, it's hard to argue the price. If it really is smaller than 15', personally I think it's dangerous to run it as fast as it'll run with an inline 6.Quote:

The engines are very durable IF (big if) a previous owner hasn't hurt it and you don't hurt it yourself. If you do buy it, there're a lot of people here that can give you advice on proper care and feeding to give it a good chance of living a long, happy life.
I got a real nice 850 XS that i will trade you for that junky old 1500 XS.. At least it will be safe to play then.
Smytty
Ironically an 850XS might be worth as much as a 1500XS in today's crazy market. They don't have NEAR the utility value of their bigger brother, but they seem much harder to find, especially in good working condition. In all the years of buying all these 1500XS's I've only run across one decent 850XS.
More info. Its a 72 or 73 Allison 14 ft 1 seat battery and 12 gal tank. He said he runs a red holly fuel pump J block motor 15 inch mid 2 to 1 lower yamaha 14.5 x 22 1/4 mile 72 mph 15 sec and something about points champ back in the early 90. Im going to go look at it this weak and am hopeing someone can give me some pointers to look for and compression # ? Thanks agin
I cant tell u what the compression is on tho's motors but i can tell u if the compression on all 6 cylinders is equal then the rings are still good. Ive never owned a inline 6 but my dad had a brand new 1974 merc 150 and he poped the motor alot and everytime it blew it was the top cylinder so check that. Thats all i can tell u about tho's motors. My dads old boat was a 1974 Kennedy Stingray (14ft) rated for a 75hp and my dad put the 1974 merc 150 that i was talking about earler on the kennedy, put it this way that boat would scream it was running 68mph and my dad said that boat was extremly dangerous thats why he sold it. The boat was prob the fastest outboard boat on the lake, the ally is a faster hull and the 1500xs is alittle faster so when u take that boat out bring some extra underwear ;)
Anybody on here end up with that boat?
I'm looking for a 14 and found this thread on a Google search.
