Jon went fast but did he win alot of races?
is this Darrin Baxter the same guy that lived off of highway 84 near Cowarts, AL across from the Dairy Farm?
Bob kottman aka "the missouri missle" 87 first place wins 17 high points championships 5 grand national championships 3 world championships not to mention countless wins with engines built for other racers including: David pou, ivan watson, randy mckormick, randy harrell, dennis nabben, bruce mcnider, r.p. Breaux, digger robbins, doug mcdowell, ronnie alstot and james barnett to name a few i dont know how many wins, high points and world championship wins that is but i know its a lot.
Sorry i forgot a couple more chris dunham and johnny puett/patrick barlow
Are any of these guys mentioned come from the NORTH? Like North of St. Louis or only guys from deep south are truly consistent winners?
From what I've seen the hitters are usually from the south. Not saying there haven't been some over the years from up north that have won but I think the boats from the south are generally quicker. Probably because outboard drag boat racing is much bigger down south. Just my opinion. Putting my flame suit on
Rich Srnec and Jeff Cleinmark are two that come to mind that can or could run with any of them
Bob Kottom ( CATFISH) Is the Man.... I have some 40 plaques on the wall that Catfish helped. If every one that he helped will post something on here. It would be no contest Not even close. I am still racing some of his. Thanks Bob, Bop, Catfish for one hell of a ride. Hope we can race together on the other side.. DP..
Well I have always had a Jaded view of Bob. When he raced I was very young and all I have heard was story from old timers. But if DP has that kind of respect for him he must know a thing or two about make one go down the track.
My vote is T-Rex!!! He does have a crispy clean perfect record!!
Lmao!!!! And ugly as homemade sin too
