Thank you - I am running a 468 BBC with 8-71 supercharger estimated at 850-875 HP. The lower is an IMCO with 1.33 gearing. I am trying to get seat time since finished but with a smaller prop (26 pitch), 4 adults, and full of gas its been 105 so have only thought about a 30 pitch and what it might do but enjoying the smaller prop so far.
i think i know this boat.....

Hey frank.
That one on the bottom looks like my old 22.
Where is it?

That looks like my old talon.
Is it a '90?
Gary didn't build many, if any others with 5 colors.
I got mine from Richie Coty in S. Jersey originally rigged with a 2.5 OS. Looks like the same trailer and all.
Love to get some pics of it before you painted it.
Enjoy it, I sure loved it. Funny, I was going to try and find it this year.

Haulover sandbar, North Miami FL. I don't get up north much more than North Miami. I've heard of Peanut Island but never been there. There are quite a few sandbars from Haulover down to the Keys. Haulover, Nixon, Key Biscayne, Elliot Key (Sands Cut), Islamorada (Tiki Bar), and quite a few more.
It looks like their building them again, http://www.talonboats.com/

plans for the sport models in 2013
Yes, Ben Robertson is good friend of Gary's and a racing legend. He is building the center consoles first and plans to branch back into the sport models, but the project is still very young. The web sites are still under construction. Limited reproductions of the old f16 flats and f22 bay. He plans to come out with an 18 and a 23 soon after.
Came across this thread looking for some history on TALON 22. I purchased the speedmaster marine - John Spath 2006 22 Talon just this past October.
Its under going a "clean up".
Hope to see some Talons in 2015.
