Mod-VP Video of STV in Dominican Republic

Marty from Diamond Marine sent over this video link to share with all of you. Diamond Marine sold this STV to the owner back in 1992! It was tested and dialed in at Tanner Park in Long Island, New York before being shipped out of the country.

Here is a video of this boat competing in a series of races in Puerto Rico, having won on Sunday. Looks like Mod-VP is certainly alive in the Caribbean!

He has something to be able to go to the outside like that, get past them with enough distance to chop down to the pin and not cut anyone off. The other mod vp was going to be hard to get by if they hadn't gotten into lappers.

I wish we had C.O.R.E. racing here in FL. like they do out West.

Very Cool !!! that's my kind of runnin ! Joe, maby when the Miami Marine Stadium deal gets done ,,, but until then Tavares is the next best thing, get Scott to rig out that Checkmate with that twister and bring it over for some "gentleman laps" ;) because everybody knows there's no racing going on there :rolleyes: Keith out :D

Even if they would put an 80 mph breakout and run old mod-vp hulls say pre 1990 with 200s on them it would be fun. As for doing parade laps, I am out-

Dude, your missing the point. the first 2 laps are Parade laps,,, then ,,, SHOW ME YOUR TALENT. get it. but it's all in respecting one another. there's no trophys, as that's not the goal. ever been to a Vintage Car exhibition ??? some of these rigs are priceless, I'm just proud to be a part of the organization. I don't have anything to prove, but to demonstrate the differences of the evolution of hull designs in a safe environment. hope you and Scott will jazz up that checkmate and come out to play with some of the industry's legends standing around in the shadows. as Concours is to cars, I can see this developing for boats. fun out

I enjoyed the ride. Brought back lots of memories.
