Alva,
Florida was the backdrop for a quickly organized hot boat
gathering by Gary Williams and other boaters that were looking for
some fast boating on short notice.
The Caloosahatchee
River, located in southwestern Florida's Lee County offered the
perfect location for calm, fresh-water boating and informal speed
runs.
Over 30 boats were in attendance, including an airboat that was giving
some the high performance outboard crowd a serious case of friendly
insecurity.
Florida has
always been a hotbed for high-speed river boating, and the gathering
at Alva serves to underscore that reputation. |
