On the 2 man runabout ... a 4 cylinder König. Pretty much been the standard alky motor since the mid 1960's. Much internal development, but the same basic exterior appearance. Still manufactured in the Czech Republic under the "Konny" name by Pavel Koncey (?sp). The 30 ci version is about 150 hp, the big 2 man runabout class can use up to 1133cc's. I think the usual motor is a 700cc König capable of over 200hp.

the "F" (currently called 1100cc) runabout class has always required a rider and is one of the real crowd pleasers where it runs (mostly in the northwest). There are a few boats like that in the east (one in my back yard) and we hope to run 2 man sometime in the near future.

On the hydro at the top ... a 4 cylinder "Quincy Looper" Each pipe is fed by 2 cylinders, each cylinder feeds 2 pipes. Uses a 4 cylinder Merc crank and front case .... Merc magneto. These were made from the early 1960's to about 1970.

Sam a 2 man I might ride in but the one you run is for the bold. Your hydro is a beast. Hope to see you run thinking about Fl in the near future. I have a Dave L6  that I havent even run. Rick
