My Dad, Riggs Smith, built probably about a dozen utility racing hulls back in the 1960s, primarily for 36-Class, CU and DU. His racing numbers were 12-N, 12-P, 112-N, 222-N, and 112-P. Some of the boats got a small hand-lettered "Smith-Built" on the cockpit coaming or dash board. They were all typical style utility hulls of the period with no forward cockpit. We tracked one down about a dozen years ago, only to find it had been crushed by a stone wall when the barn it was in collapsed. I'd love to find one for him. Maybe if someone has an old hull they cannot identify? A few of them may have ended up in New Jersey, and a couple went South, but the rest should still be in the Pennsylvania, New York area. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :D
