wouldnt be a problem.. just have to have the jump ramp in the right position.. get a running start and its instant loading......unloading would be even easier...back up real fast and then slam on the brakes... instant unloading...lol

fish, if you send me a batch of full size pics via e-mail, i'll get them posted in about 5 mins resized and all.
thanks 1bad I appreciate it, but these are slides that are old. they have to be scanned, then clean up the images, then resize and in some cases crop to make it a better shot. First batch is ready though :)

Who is that in the McCall # 54, Pic 35 ?
I'm still waiting for parker to explain the pics in #39 and 40. I might be going blind, but it looks like a big block and an outboard on the same boat.

Hey Fish I had the same questions when I posted the other pics of that boat. I am surprised no one had made a comment about that.
Parker...What was up with that. If that what you call a "kicker" outboard?
Is it there to get ya home when the carmota breaks down?
Thanks for the pics...

Anymore photos from Parker's collection? I remember several of those offshore Rabco's raising hell throughout the intracoastal back in the day. I wouldn't mind seeing more pictures of the Violator, Twister and others from that era. Please keep them coming!

Parker, just in case you're making notes on these photos, that is Oshkosh, not Fond du Lac. That building behind the Jones was the rigging shop for the race team. I'm sure it was later than 1970, because Petty ran that boat at Havasu in 1970 ( November ) and I don't see any snow on the ground in Oshkosh. By the way, I know we already covered this , but that photo clearly shows #187 on the Jones - Merten's racing number.

I bought the Checkmate in post#42, pix #50. This was my first boat. It would have been about 1980-81. This one got me hooked on speed.

The 6-engine boat in pic 80.....How was it steered? Were the outboard engines fixed and the 4 inboard engines steered? Were the two center engines factory 20" or adapted for the length? BTW, these pics are way cool and true memory joggers. Thanks!!!
