Hey Sam,
wonder if you have heard any further news on the venture?

As a side thought, do you know where the molds, casts, plugs, went for the Merc Quickie lower units? Are there any plans to make new units? Could be done rather cheaply in China if there is market for these to replace worn out units. Just a thought.

There is no news from Florida. They are trying to set a policy of saying what is actually in stock and available rather than what they hope to have as had been the case so often in the past. I'm certain that when there is news you will see it on hydroracer

The original Quickie stuff was deliberately destroyed as part of Merc corporate policy: "junk" just takes up too much space. Corporate policy also dictates that any sale of such property would have to cover the full engineering cost of the tooling; no one would ever be able to afford to buy it from them anyway.

Not only China, but also Russia or some of the other former USSR countries. I'm pretty certain the Clarke Trollers reproductions were made in eastern Europe. You better have permission to produce an exact part made by a company still in business.
