Looking for as much info as I can find on carlson built tunnels. One in paticular, was run only at OMC mainly with the rotary engines. This was in area of 1972-1974. Was a OMC test boat, I think. Fiber glass or wood? I was told it was built by Carlson and distributed by somebody called Roper? Any info would be really cool.

Thanks, Tim

The way I understand. This was a fiberglass, Glasstron tunnel. Distributed by "Roper", I think. At least so I've been told. I'm thinking on buying this boat. Would like to find out as much as possible, before buying. I'm not sure even what it looks like and would like some kind of idea. Any info of something close wol=uld be nice.

Thanks Tim

Tim, you'll probaby wantin' to raise some money or either turn loose of some garage space to buy that Carlson, so I'm still waitin' on the Shultz/Stinger GP.:D

Not willing to turn loose of anything. And not willing to tell anybody where this boat is. But, I think this guy is willing to get rid of this boat mainly because his wife wants it out of his garage. LOL I can only hope. He's had the boat since 1974 and hs done nonthing with it. except keep it inside. So I'm kind of excited. The cool thing about it is. It's not very far from where I live. And he's looking for a good home for it.
From what I've been told, the only motor that has been bolted to the back of it was a Rotary. Let you know as much as I dare!

This guy has also told me that it was a hand laid, fiberglass tunnel, very similar to a Nyberg "pickle fork".
