powerboat magizine shootout

Does anyone remember the shootout that powerboat mag. sponsidered around 1980 or so? Mod-vp type set-ups top- end also round-de round? I am looking for the issue now. I think racer won all or part of it?

Powerboat ran the shoot out in 81 and 82. Its an old beef, but, but its too bad Powerboat dropped outboard coverage. I know thats not where the ad money is but you'd think a yearly feature would be of interest.
