Need help identifing this motor.

I got motor a few days ago from an older gentleman. Said his son got it for his boat. Boat got sold engine stayed behind. On the block all I can find is a Letter A. and L2264 smaller with 333 stamped over it. on valve cover 329965. Throttle linkage 129996, and on each of the 8 carbs 397479 17 FKMX, and the bottom of engine a v8 Logo stamped on linkage is a circle with a square inside and a M inside square, Circle Square M.
Was told 76 race motor, Been unable to find anything like it. Has to be some power because 8 carbs and motor is upside down so valves working opposite of what the norm is. no oil tank so must use a oilier. Thank you for any help

352893By the carbs, it looks like a 1984 or 1985 275hp or 300hp Johnson or Evinrude outboard powerhead.

Thank you very much that what she is. They have one in a sandrail. I would throw it in my ranchero but not a good motor for anything but wide open throttle. I dont have a problem with that but will the judge understand???
