Since you are running windows 7, just for peace of mind, you could try scanning with defender.

Click Start
Click in your "search programs and files" box
Type Defender
Click on the "scan for spyware and other potentially unwanted software"

Keep in mind, this is the most basic test, and Microsoft does not have the maximum interest in keeping bogus ads off your computer. If you did click one of those jiggly ads, the website that you went to may have installed some malicious code on your machine and you "might" need more powerful tools to remove it.

Also, try using Google Chrome browser.

I don't personally use adblocker, so I do see ads. But they are for fun stuff like GLOCK, Pretty Girls that want to meet me right now, and Boats.
