Is it metalflake or has it been painted/cleared?

Only clear never been painted. The clear is only bad on the
dark part of the metalflake. The silver flake hull is still smooth
as glass. The side arrows are burgandy and starting to graze.
I think it is sun damage!!
Thanks

If the flake is on the surface then if you aren't carefull to will damage it when you sand.If not you can wetsand and buff it out.You may want to reclear it to rebuild the clear layer thickness to give extended protection. The recent thread Wetsanding and Clearing question addresses this.If your boat has had clear urathane applied before than you would want to use that same product. If not and it is finishing resin that was sprayed in the mold upon building you might want to use the same products to redo it.There is another thread in the archives that covers all of this extensively.
