View Full Version : seacast pourable transom

has anyone used seacast to repair the transom on thier bass boat. i am getting ready to start project and looking for any advice on how and what tools worked the best. i ahve takled to the people that make the product for advice they said all i had to do was cut the splash well cap out and start hacking the old wood out, then pour their product back. any help is welcome.
i have a 86 skeeter starfire 175.:confused:

H2Onut did you put an aluminum plate inside it? This seems to be an important mod if using this stuff. Not saying it has to be used but it's seems that it is used.

Anyone not re-enforcing in some way?
How does this rate with ease of doing the job VS the cost?
Is it easy? Not sure but it still seems to be a lot of work, just progresses faster.
How much weight is this? Any idea of the weight increase over plywood?

I'm a little surprised that it is stronger than plywood. or for that matter lighter!
