I was wondering what kind of modifications i can do to a Suzuki DT 65 i am running the motor on a 14ft Hydrostream Voodoo with a 25 pitch Mercury racing Cleaver, the motor is on a manual jackplate.

Not familiar with the DT-65...can you post some details about the engine, ie, number of cylinders, rod construction (one or two piece) charge design (looper or what) head design (cast in block or detachable), combustion chamber/piston top configuration (flat topped, domed), reed valves, no of carbs, etc.

Lots if bright folks on the board but they will need the above info to get you started.

You can do the main basic mods to this engine (although lots of people would say, just bolt a black motor on LOL )
extra holes in the air silencer(alloy backing side), surface head, re jet carbs to suit
this will give the most gain for little work, they have the one piece press together cranks so dont go too far as you can have issues with the crank pins moving...........

Its a three Cylinder engine, Three Carbs, i was told that the motor is 0.40 over through all three cylinders and that the carbs are off of a 90 hp engine thats all i know about it ill try and get more information on it

what year is it does it have fixxed ignition are does it have a trigger under the flywheel.Thay have a few things that can be done but if you are going to push it you may have to find someone that can weld the crank befor you go to far.

When I bought the motor the crank shaft was out 16degree so it was weldded already and the motor is a 1990

how fast are you running right now? What height are you running the motor at comparing the bullet of the motor and bottom of the boat? Set up can usually make a world of a difference in these boats. What is the ratio of your gearcase? what size of cleaver?
