SLDBA Meeting?

Does anybody have an update from the meeting? Inquiring minds want to know.

They're working on a couple of different race sites in order to replace the OKC race, but at this point, it looks like SLDBA and SDBA are going to try to work together in order to bring boats to both clubs at a few races so to replace OKC, you'll be able to choose Augusta or SDBA's Fort Worth race as the 5th points race.

They have a pretty good line on at least one other race site that they feel has a decent chance of coming off and that one would be closer than Fort Worth, but until that gets clearer, they aren't saying much about it. Hopefully it'll happen - sounds like good potential.

So, here's what the schedule looks like point-wise for '08:

May 17/18 Poplar Bluff, MO
June 21/22 St. Louis, MO
July 19/20 Augusta, GA* (IHBA) (Pick 'em for points)
August 2/3 Fort Worth, TX* (SDBA) (Pick 'em for points)
Aug 23/24 Litchfield, IL
Sept 6/7 New Athens, IL

It sounds like there are going to be some changes made in order to try and persuade the SDBA boys to come on up (like switching the course around at New Athens so the ProMods don't have to drive to the rope) so it looks like there is some cooperation from the clubs in order to try to get people to some races.

Any idea what the dates for a closer race would be,( maybe a clue as to where or at least what state??) over 14 hours to Ft Worth and 13 hours and 50 min to Augusta, OKc was 200 miles closer. Hopefully a decission can be made soon for us working folks that need to schedule vacation to go race. Thanks for the update

They're working on a site in Chouteau, OK that is actually closer than OKC and they're still trying to work on Mountain Home, AR, but that promoter hasn't gotten back to them from what I understand.
