If there is any intrest in racing the newer emissions friendly outboards, DSRA has a place to try. Stock DI motors should be competitive in "Performance Bass & Ski". Many of the newer motors are listed. Might not be perfect, but you gotta start somewhere.

Figgures, for all the squeaking about not having a class, make one and no one shows. It happens over and over.

happen over & over again....

We all know that people want a place to win, not a place to race.

But I commend DSRA for putting a class in place to force folks to come up with a good excuse as to why they cannot race. The old 'there ain't no class for my rig' was too easy an out for people.

If we don't start these classes, we'll have no place to race eventually. So, I'm glad to see DSRA getting involved. It may take a few years, but keep with it because eventually, our STVs, Allisons, Bullets, Mirages, HydroStreams, etc. will get repowered with Green motors and we'll want to keep racing. Bracket racing - as we all know - isn't for everybody so if you don't want to race on the rope and want to go heads up, then DSRA is giving you a great opportunity.

You're right Nick, that STV of yours MIGHT come in at 15.998 if you really stand on it! :D

I think my Dad is going to bring his SuperSport boat to one of the next two races (Evansville, IL 8/11-12 or Litchfield, IL 8/25-26). He's got an HST with a 150 OptiMax on it. I'll let you know how it goes.
