Kentuky Drag Boat New Changes

Hey all was at the KDBA meeting this weekend and wanted to share some good changes that will take effect this '07 season.

*The membership fee for 10,9,8 and 7 second classes is $1.00 (11,12 and 13 second classes will remain the same $100.00)
*Entry fee for 10,9,8 and 7 second classes will be $300.00 (11,12 and 13 second classes will remain the same $170.00)
*The payout for 10,9,8 and 7 second classes for a 16 boat field will be $3200.00 (limited to a 32 boat field which is $6400.00) with 80% to winner, 20% to second place (11,12 and 13 second class payout will remain the same)
*Three races at Kentucky lake will be points races, the last race at Livermore will be an 1000' track set up for smokin in the cove dial in with the same payout structure as the above.
*ATV's will now be allowed at Kentucky Lake as long as they are hooked to a boat trailer.
*Race dates are (at Kentucky Lake) June 2nd & 3rd- July 7th & 8th- Aug. 4th & 5th
*Livermore Kentucky (1000' track) Aug. 18th & 19th with a test and tune on Friday the 17th
These are some really good payout races, so bring your boats down to the lake and win some good money.

Hey Rick,sounds like you are going to have fun racing for the big bucks this year.I decided to pull my motor down this year after loosing a couple of final rounds at Firebird when the temps hit close to triple digits (corrected air is 4500+)the boat wont quite run the number.I was able to trim 20 pounds outta my swivel,clamps and motor bracket (thanks to Galen).I had my crank modded to nine rings and balanced with some airflow enhancing by David at Marinecrankshafts in Irvine Calif.Ruk straightened the bores and richs is doing some trick piston mods.Cant wait to test,it better run the number now:confused: any chance you will make the World finals in 2007?Good luck this year
