ive always been a little confused when it comes to using the dyno chart to find perfect shift points for maximum power.im just going to use this dyno as an example.. pulled it from the "what is torque" thread. hope ya dont mind. anyways, for maximum acceleration.. how high should you rev every gear, and when it shifts, should it go below max torque, or what? please help!

Having your shift recovery point to fall at your torque peak is a real good place to start... Find out how many rpm's that your engine drops when you shift, say maybe 1400 or so then try to find the 1400 rpm span that your engine averages the highest power and that is just about where you want to be pulling... The real way is just to take it to the track and try different things...

thats what i thought. keep it in the max torque range for max pull. alright, thanks
